Eviction Moratorium Ends June 30, 2021

Oregon’s statewide eviction moratorium for nonpayment of rent and most no-cause evictions ENDS June 30, 2021.

This means, beginning July 1, 2021, all tenants must pay rent for the month of July or risk being evicted for nonpayment of rent.

Please, be aware, however, that tenants cannot be evicted for nonpayment of back rent from April 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021, and will still have until February 28, 2022 to pay back rent they owe from April 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021. It is further important to note that landlords cannot charge fees for unpaid rent during this time and cannot report past due rent from April 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021 to a consumer credit reporting agency. A tenant's unpaid rent during this time period cannot be used against them in future rental applications.
